Date: September 28, 2008 Course:
The Berlin course starts near Charlottenburg Castle and passes through Brandenburg
Gate before looping through the old East Berlin. The course is completely flat and
fast finishing on the Kurfurstendamm, Berlin's main boulevard. The men's world record was set
there in 2007 when haile Gebrselassie blazed to 2:04:26 and the course produced the first sub 2:20
marathon by a woman, Naoko Takahashi, in 2001.
Weather: Average temperatures range between 50F-65F.
Ideal conditions for running.
Entry: An official entry form will be forwarded
to you after receipt of a completed tour application form and deposit
by check. Entry fees: 50 euro (about $74 USD) before April 30 70 euro (about $103 USD) from May 1 to June 30
90 euro (about $133 USD) after July 1 and before August 5
The event should be full before June 1
Eligibility: All runners must be 18 years of age on race day.
Time Limit: 6 hours Awards: Every runner receives a medal and commemorative T-shirt
