Event Information

The Great Wall Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10K and 5K will host its 9th running with over 1,000 runners from all over the world. Everyone is invited to participate to take part.

DATE:
May 17, 2008.

ENTRY FEE:
The entry fee included in the cost of your tour package includes the entry fee, pre-race inspection tour of the course, race T-shirt, pasta dinner, transportation from your hotel to the start and back to your hotel and lunch after the race. This must be paid by runners and non-runners alike.
Your entry is guaranteed after receipt of a completed tour application form and deposit by check. If you don't own a ChampionChip you must purchase the Great Wall Memorial ChampionChip for $35.

COURSE:
This demanding course includes over 3,700 steps on the Great Wall at Huangyaguan which includes steep up and down portions. Over 6 kilometers of the full marathonare run on the wall. All other races are on the wall for about 3 km. Most of the course runs through the small farmlands and villages of Tianjin Province.

WEATHER CONDITIONS:
Expected temperatures range from 75 to 95 degrees. Humidity is high while running in the valleys.
