Thank you for requesting the information on the 2008 Paris Marathon on April 6. We are
offering a package with some special features coordinated by our staff or you can book just the hotel
if you prefer. We have found that most of our travelers prefer the flexibility and some enjoy
the camaraderie of meeting other runners from across North America. Our optional post-race trip
to Champagne for some champagne tastings, cellar visits and lunch is the perfect way
to celebrate your accomplishment.
We have selected three hotels
which offer competitive prices, comfortable accommodations and excellent locations.
The Hotel Splendid Etoile is a four star hotel close to the Arc de Triomphe. You are
about 1/2 mile from the finish and 3/4 mile from the start. The Hotel Frontenac is the
sister hotel to the Splendid and within 100 meters of the start and a walk from the finish.
We offer a hotel only option without any special features only at this hotel.
The Hotel de Sevigne is a three star hotel within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and
about 1/2 mile from the start and 3/4 mile from the finish.
We can book any hotel that you request and as a member of the Carlson
Travel Network can offer low corporate rates at many Parisian hotels.
Airfares are constantly changing and it is difficult to print the exact
rates from your home city before they change again. Regardless, we can secure the lowest
available airfares and will be happy to quote those to you by phone. Simply provide us with
your dates and departure city.
We can still offer you a guaranteed entry! The rate is $200 for late entry.
Perhaps you would like to relax after the race with an excursion
by car or rail to the south to Avignon, Cannes or Nice. Or maybe, a tour of the
wine valleys in Bordeaux, Burgundy, or Provence.
